Compare the same offer in three places
In an illustrative US store, a 12 fl oz ceramic mug costs $18 on the product page, while an old feed still says $16. Those are example product prices, not StoreNex charges. Open the exact offer and check whether its link selects the intended color and size.
| Location | Record these values |
|---|---|
| Storefront | Selected variant, price, currency, availability |
| Source feed | id, price, availability, update time |
| Merchant Center | Received values and the reported issue |
Work through the mismatch
- Open the product page without a customer login or a personal discount.
- Check that the landing link selects the same variant as the feed offer.
- Verify the currency and price for the target market. Review Google's sale_price rules when a promotion applies.
- Correct the store or exporter if it produces the wrong value.
- Refresh the supported source, inspect the Feed output and check the Merchant Center fetch configuration.
- After processing, inspect the same offer again instead of assuming submission means resolution.
Find why the error returns
An edit to a temporary feed copy can disappear on the next export. A link that opens the cheapest variant can also create a mismatch even when each source row looks correct. Record where the value originates and which process updates it.
Availability must reflect the ability to purchase that offer. Do not mark an unavailable mug in stock to keep it eligible. For a preorder or backorder, review the applicable status and supporting data requirements rather than changing the label alone.
The merchant connects Feed outputs to Google and Meta separately. Feed does not reconcile Merchant Center through a direct API or grant access to the account. Correcting price and availability also does not resolve unrelated website or policy issues. Use the product's current status as the acceptance check.
Next step
Check Feed capabilities and current pricing and the Shopify file workflows. Start with a representative batch and review the result before expanding.
Sources and verification
Checked November 4, 2026. Platform documentation describes platform rules, not StoreNex capabilities. StoreNex claims were checked against the November 3 compatibility matrix. Product examples are illustrative.
- A Shopify Google feed price or availability mismatch needs a comparison of the same variant on the storefront, in the submitted feed and in Merchant Center.
FAQ
Compare Google’s received values with the feed and the same landing page variant. Check stale exports, currency and variant selection. Establish the cause from the actual data.
Check the source currency, target market and landing page without personal settings. Do not change the currency label alone; the amount and sale conditions must match the page and Google’s requirements.
Merchant Center account access is separate from advertising spend. Google Ads costs and third party feed service charges are separate. Check current service terms; a corrected feed does not guarantee placement for every product.
Product feeds for Google Merchant Center and Meta catalogs: better titles and attributes for Google, sale badges on photos for Meta. Changes only after you approve them.
